Landscape Lighting Installation

Clean installations are the difference between a lighting system that looks built-in and one that looks added-on. We bury every cable, hide every transformer, and aim every fixture by hand.

One operator. Same person designs, installs, and maintains your system. Not a subcontractor.

Custom design. Every plan is sketched on-site for your specific property.

Clean installs. Buried cable, hidden transformers, no exposed wiring.

What's included

  • Trenching and direct-burial low-voltage cable
  • Transformer mounting (concealed, weather-rated location)
  • Fixture placement, staking, and final beam aiming
  • Photocell and astronomical timer setup
  • Full system test and owner walkthrough before we leave
  • Site cleanup and mulch restoration over trenched areas

How it works

  1. Fixture layout

Using the approved design plan, we mark fixture positions and cable runs before breaking ground. Changes at this stage are still easy.

  2. Cable burial and transformer mount

We trench cable runs to proper depth, route through irrigation-safe conduit where needed, and mount the transformer in a concealed, serviceable location.

  3. Fixture installation and aiming

Each fixture is set, secured, and aimed by hand at dusk. Beam angles are adjusted against the actual light at night, not estimated from a plan.

  4. Timer programming and owner walkthrough

We program the timer with your preferred on/off schedule, walk you through the system, and leave you with a written record of transformer settings and zone assignments.

Central Florida considerations

Florida irrigation schedules and sandy soil both affect how we route and bury cable. We coordinate trench depths and paths with your irrigation contractor when needed, and we use waterproof wire connectors rated for soil contact to prevent the connection failures that are the most common cause of dark fixtures after a Florida rainy season.

Common questions

How long does an installation take?

Most residential installs are a single day, 6 to 10 hours. Larger projects with multiple zones and extensive cable burial may span two days. We schedule start-to-finish: one crew, one visit.

Do I need a permit for landscape lighting?

Low-voltage landscape lighting (typically 12V systems) does not require an electrical permit in most Florida municipalities. We verify local requirements before each project.

Will the trenching damage my lawn?

We use a trenching tool that creates a narrow slot in the sod, which we press back into place and tamp down after cable burial. In most cases the trench is nearly invisible within a few weeks of regular watering.
