Landscape Lighting

Landscape Lighting Design

Every fixture placement decision starts with a dusk walkthrough. We look at your architecture, tree canopy, hardscape, and sight lines before a single fixture goes in the ground.

One operator. Same person designs, installs, and maintains your system. Not a subcontractor.

Custom design. Every plan is sketched on-site for your specific property.

Clean installs. Buried cable, hidden transformers, no exposed wiring.

What's included

  • On-site evening walkthrough of your property
  • Fixture-by-fixture plan with placement, beam angle, and wattage
  • Transformer sizing and zone layout
  • LED color temperature selection (2700K warm or 3000K neutral)
  • Brass and composite fixture options suited to Florida humidity
  • Budget breakdown by zone with optional phasing

How it works

  1. Evening walkthrough

We visit at dusk to see your property the way guests will: what reads in low light, what disappears, what should be highlighted and what should recede.

  2. Design review

We deliver a written fixture plan with quantities, beam angles, recommended color temperatures, transformer sizing, and a per-zone cost estimate.

  3. Revisions and approval

We refine the plan based on your priorities: add a zone, swap fixture styles, scale to budget. No surprises on install day.

  4. Handoff to installation

The finalized plan becomes the roadmap for the installation crew. Same team, same contact.

Central Florida considerations

Florida UV and humidity accelerate corrosion on aluminum and zinc fixtures. Our design process accounts for irrigation spray zones, soil type for cable burial depth, and seasonal canopy changes that affect beam coverage through the year.

Common questions

Does the design cost extra?

The design walkthrough is included in the project quote when you proceed with installation. Standalone design plans without installation are available at a flat rate applied toward your install if you move forward within 90 days.

How many fixtures will I need?

A typical front facade and walkway takes 8 to 15 fixtures. A full property with backyard, pool, and entertainment areas typically runs 20 to 40. The walkthrough is the only reliable way to give you an accurate number.

What color temperature do you recommend?

We default to 2700K for most residential projects. It reads warm and residential rather than commercial-white. For contemporary architecture or specific plant species, 3000K can be more appropriate. We bring sample fixtures to the walkthrough.
